Neighbors in SE Portland desperate for city help, attention: ‘This is a forgotten area’
PORTLAND, Ore – Neighbors in outer Southeast Portland say they are desperate. Between homelessness, trash, shootings and other problems, they feel like their neighborhood is no longer safe.
While these are issues that people all around Portland can relate to, they say things are even worse in their community because they believe they are being ignored by the city.
“This is a forgotten area, they are so concerned with everything downtown. I feel for the businesses most of all, but I also think they should be thinking of all of Portland,” shared Claudette Clark.
