Portland homeless village shelters won’t open until 2022
Portland officials confirmed Tuesday that the six new homeless shelter villages that were slated to open before year’s end won’t be ready until early 2022 at best.
The project, led by Commissioner Dan Ryan’s office, aims to create outdoor shelter sites that will each house up to 60 tiny home pods along with shared amenities and support services.
