For PBJ readers, one Portland problem looms over everything

A Portland Business Journal online survey a week ago prompted an outpouring of responses, with the majority pointing to a seemingly intractable problem.

We asked readers in an unscientific survey to rank what they say are the top priorities for local leaders. One rose above the rest: addressing the city’s homelessness crisis.

The city’s most visible problem, homeless had 64.6% of the votes for the city’s top priority, followed by public safety with 25.1%.
